Donald Joseph Qualls (also known as DJ Qualls) is an American actor, producer and model. Shooting to fame for his role in Road Trip he has since appeared in over 20 feature films including The New Guy Hustle & Flow and The Core. The actor has also been featured in over 22 TV shows such as Breaking Bad Supernatural Scrubs Lost Law & Order among others. The Hodgkin's lymphoma patient who survived and diagnosed at the age of 14 Qualls is an avid fighter. The cancer had gone into remission within two years. Treatment was carried out so quickly that it produced a devastating impact on the body and slowed his growth. When he began acting, as if financial security was his main goal, as it was the case that he experienced poverty all through his childhood. He has said that "I've been living a frugal lifestyle throughout my life that I'm looking for financial security because otherwise the world will feel out-of-control in my case." The man also thinks back on his childhood and hopes to address the problem of being bullied. "Cruelty is a pain to me," he said. In real life, and on screen, DJ would love to play father figure. He admits that Directors do not choose him for the roles he is suited for. He would like to become an uncle one day in order to spend more time with the children and not be so occupied with his work.
