Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Hornowitz) was born in Winona Minnesota. The parents of her daughter named her after her hometown. Michel Horowitz is her father as well as Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder's father and mother are both Jewish. Ryder believes herself to be Jewish. Ryder has a younger brother Uria and two half-siblings Jubal as well as Sunyata. Ryder along with her whole family moved to California's Mendocino County at the age of seven. Ryder was seven. Here, they did not have electricity. The books on television was her only source of entertainment to pass the time. Eventually, she began to read extensively. In 1983 when she was 12 Ryder was accepted into the American Conservatory Theatre to take acting classes. In 1986 she landed her first major-screen appearance in the movie Lucas when she was just 15 years old. Ryder faced bullying in high school. Her professional acting, she believed, would help her. However, it didn't come pass. However, she kept working towards her dreams. It was 1988 in the year Tim Burton released Beetlejuice that gave her her first big break. Ryder was able to continue playing roles that were successful in several movies. In 1993, she received an Academy Award for The Age of Innocence.
