Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born to a musical family on the 9th of August, 1963, in Newark New Jersey the daughter of gospel star Cissy Houston (nee Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. as well as a cousin of the singing sensation Dionne Warwick. In Newark, Whitney began singing in the church choir in the early years of her childhood. When she was 15 years old, she accompanied her mother singing background vocals on Chaka's hit Im Every Woman from 1978. Jermaine, her mother and Lou Rawls were among those who she sang with. Also, she was a model for Seventeen magazine in the year 1981. She started as a featured performer for the The New York-based New York Funk band Material. Her quality of vocal performance attracted the attention of major record label Arista where she signed up in 1983. Whitney Houston, her debut album released in 1985, was the most-sold album by a debut singer. The album contained several hit songs like How Will I Know You're Good to Me, Saving all My Love For you and The Most Beautiful Love of All. It was instrumental in her achieving seven US charts-topping singles in a row which was more than the Beatles. It was the debut US year of release, the album has sold in excess of 3 million units. It went on to be purchased by millions of people around the world which earned her her first Grammy. The Whitney album released in 1987 that featured songs like The Bodyguard, I Wanna Dance With Somebody and Where Do Broken Hearts Get to, continued her success. But it is The Bodyguard of 1992 that was her breakthrough album and made her one of the biggest-selling musicians in recent history. The film and her part as a character was not well received, but the soundtrack as well as her version of the song by Dolly Parton I Will Always Love You charted for several months at the top of the charts. In all, she sold nearly 44 million singles and albums across the globe. In the same year, she got married to former New Edition star Bobby Brown with whom she had her only child their daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, born in March 1993. In the same year the drug use was well-documented and she started using it daily by 1996.
Dana Bash (also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz) is a CNN anchor and political reporter. Her weekend programs comprise Evans & Novak Late Edition, Inside Politics and Inside Politics. Bash has been awarded the Women in Washington Power List award by Elle magazine. She is highly respected for her amazing skills as an anchor/reporter. On a personal level, she is a graduate of George Washington University is a loving mother to her sole son. She has been married twice but is currently single.
